Operations Supervisor
Do you love leading teams in a dynamic environment? Reporting to the General Manager, Operations, you will supervise employees within all operational areas within the highly automated Durham Retail Service Centre (DRSC).
If you are results oriented with a focus on customer service along with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, then this role is for you!

About The Role

• May be required to supervise the facility on an acting basis for an Operations Manager
• Supervising the activities of bargaining unit employees
• Ability to work overtime on a rotational basis for weekends or before/after shifts as required
• Monitor and maintain applicable warehouse functions by ensuring daily operational goals are met through the assignment of duties, allocation of staff and effective utilization of equipment
• Ensure that all staff observe and work to specified safety rules and regulations
• Position is particularly for supervising the Afternoon Shift (4PM to Midnight) however flexibility to supervise alternate shifts such as Midnight Shift (Midnight to 8AM) or potentially occasional Day Shift (8AM to 4PM) and extended hours with minimal notice is a requirement

About You

• Sound knowledge of logistics procedures and practices; warehouse fundamentals and inventory management
• Complementing the above qualifications are the LCBO leadership competencies; Lead people, Build relationships, Drive profitability, Deliver results, Enhance the brand and Integrity
• Strong managerial, leadership, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills are essential
• Extensive knowledge and supervisory experience in automated warehousing operations and personnel management in a bargaining unit environment obtained through education or equivalent previous supervisory work experience
• Proficiency in Manhattan WM systems and SCI reporting is a distinct advantage
• A valid St. John’s Ambulance Standard First Aid Certificate or equivalent and/or the ability to obtain certification
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent tact and diplomacy
• Strong working knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and WHMIS
