JOB SUMMARY

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for all facets of the operations on the shift. This involves leading all aspects of operational performance, customer relations, continuous improvement, and people development.


Shifts Available:

Afternoons: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Midnights: 10:00pm – 6:00am



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop loyal, empowered and engaged workforce
  • Follow all company Policies, Rules, Communication Notices, directions provided work instructions/process maps
  • Maintain care and control of labour force
  • Ensure productivity/ quality performance metrics are reached in an effective, efficient, and safe manner
  • Responsible for organizational planning, metrics reporting and monitoring
  • Deliver performance evaluations
  • Provide leadership and guidance while promoting a positive work environment
  • Coordinate, assign and review the work of all Warehouse Associates/Material Handlers
  • Communicate with the customer providing exceptional customer service
  • Mentor, coach and train staff in their job duties and responsibilities
  • Analyze all opportunities and recommend ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure daily reporting of operational, attendance and quality requirements are completed
  • Work in a collaborative manner with all levels of management
  • Analyze and identify all performance related issues and ensure corrective steps are taken
  • Perform special projects as required


EDUCATION /JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

  • Ideally, they will also have previously earned a post-secondary degree or diploma
  • The Supervisor will have a minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Maintaining a Controlled Goods security clearance is an expectation of employment
  • Use of a reliable vehicle every day and maintaining a valid driver’s license
