Warehouse Operations Manager Jobs

The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our distribution centers in Canada. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team, and be a valuable addition to our team.

This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including but not limited to:

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Prepare and communicate reports and management information as requested.
• Manages a distribution center team including ensuring time/attendance management, interviewing, selection, coaching, training and evaluating team members.
• Works closely with Human Resources department in Mississauga, understanding and applying current employment laws, regulations, training, and counseling as necessary.
• Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment by maintaining a safe working environment for staff
• Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations and implementing operational policies and procedures
• Monitor product movements, stock-outs and replenishment orders.
• Sets the tone for the team, including ensuring positive team member engagement through appropriate recognition, feedback and communication.
• Facilitate the full coordination and communication of TVH policies and information to the facility personnel.
• Understand and operate the company order entry procedures, as well as the IRMN program.
• Maintaining all form of documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse operational activities
• Exemplify TVH’s Mission, Vision, and Values and proactively works to improve TVH’s image and culture.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Train personnel in procedures and on equipment as required
• Communicate issues to appropriate supervisory levels
• Conduct employee evaluations yearly
• Conduct one-on-one’s quarterly.
• Recruit personnel as needed

Experience & Skills

• Demonstrates proficiency using Google Mail/Calendar/Sheets and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must possess a minimum of 5-7 years warehouse management experience, performing substantially similar functions.
• Proven experience and demonstrated ability to exercise professionalism, discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Must be team oriented, possess a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
• Demonstrates effective decision making and active listening skills
• Demonstrates a proven track record in effectively managing tasks and priorities for overlapping projects and meeting deadlines in a consistent, complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Demonstrates effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels and locations of the organization.
• Must be team oriented, possess a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Ability and willingness to travel (15%)
• Demonstrates a proven track record in guiding team members to meet and exceed sales objectives
• Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
• Demonstrates superior organizational, time management, and follow up skills.
• Demonstrates proficient knowledge of modern warehousing practices and common shipping techniques to ensure proper product protection.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as required.
• Oversee purchasing of facility supplies as needed.
• Maintain facility and property in an orderly fashion.

Fiscal Responsibility

• Control and responsibility for petty cash fund.
• Control and approval of facility specific invoices
• Purchase of maintenance and facility supplies.
• Control and security of physical facility.
