Position Overview
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for leading, coaching and guiding our coordinators and unionized warehouse employees. You will identify training opportunities, improving staff skills, and ensuring customers’ needs are met by the timely and accurate receiving, storage & shipping of our products in Canada. You will require a broad knowledge of company policies and initiative in achieving established objectives. You will have exposure to some confidential information and regular contact with internal and external sources. You should be proficient with SAP WM and Microsoft Office suite of products.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor shortages & damaged goods.
- Inventory accuracy through cycle count program.
- Supervise activities of coordinators and bargaining unit employees. Hire, terminate and discipline as necessary.
- Shipping activities re outgoing freight, goods are packaged according to company standards & shipped via appropriate agent.
- Process improvements for warehouse operations & provides technical support for SAP distribution related issues & cross-functional testing.
- Determine manpower required w/Assembly Supervisor. Develop & utilize methods to meet schedules through efficient assignment of staff & equipment. Recommend changes to reduce costs, errors and time involved.
- Materials to flow through orderly & accurately. Accurate records show receipts, transfers & issues.
- Warehouse equipment maintained to an efficient level of operation.
- Warehouse activities include accurate storage of materials, parts & finished goods. Set locations for racking & shelving.
- Safety rules followed, safety programs maintained, equipment is safe.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Receiving activities include verification of receipts to manifests, packing slips, PO's and accurate recording of receipts. Ensure returned goods are processed timely & accurately.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Warehouse Management Systems (radio frequency usage), and carousels are definite assets.
- Excellent supervisory skills.
- General understanding of labour relations an asset.
- College school graduate or equivalent.
- Post-secondary courses or experience in warehousing, shipping, and receiving.
- Assembly supervision/maintenance supervision an asset.
- Superior leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Minimum five years related experience.
