Support Warehouse Manager in following financial obligations

In collaboration with Distribution Manager, keep warehouse supplies stocked and re-order when needed using cost-saving methods when available

Warehouse management – ensure warehouse is kept clean; order supplies and supervise the preventative maintenance of equipment

2 years minimum of warehouse supervisory experience

Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

As a Warehouse Manager you will also be responsible for:

Safety – conduct inspections; ensure employees are trained and adhere to safety guidelines; serve as safety coordinator for branch

Direct and supervise Warehouse employees. Ensuring departmental work aligns with customer needs and expectations

Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and standards

Applying entrepreneurial and commercial thinking to achieve results

Performs various functions in WM (Warehouse Management Software) and RF per job requirements.

Monitor’s requirement of warehouse supplies for inbound and submits orders for approval to Operation Management.

Responsible for time management for all team members using the Ceridian Dayforce system.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Strong computer skills, specifically MS Office Suite, AS400 Knowledge & Inbound Scheduling System.

Material handling equipment knowledge and certification are considered an asset.

·5 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.

·Accountable for inventory value and ensuring that proper levels of inventory are maintained.

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:

One (1) to Two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience with overhead cranes.

Excellent oral and written English language communication skills

Ensure day to day warehouse shipments are completed in a timely manner.

Direct supervision of warehouse floor operations; work scheduling and team member assignments.

Manage forklift repair and maintenance, and coordinate with vendor on service schedule.

Ensure that employee training and certification are achieved and updated.

At least two (2) year of previous experience in a Supervisory role in food production/warehouse environment.

Work experience in driving forklift in warehouse or food manufacturing.

Possess strong communication, both oral and written, and organizational skills.

Previous experience with managing inventory and purchasing would be an asset.

At least 10 years in manufacturing management experience. Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management

Develop processes for product receiving, equipment use, inventory management, and shipping.

Participate in professional organizations to enhance job knowledge and skills.

Forecast warehouse operations financial requirements and create an annual budget.

Stay updated through educational opportunities, professional reading, and networking.

Knowledge of warehouse software and MS Office proficiency

Post-Secondary education and/or strong working knowledge of operations management, business, transportation or warehousing preferred;

Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems;

Facilitates training and the application of the Warehouse Management System

Required, 3 to 5 years direct Warehouse Supervisor experience;

Working knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act;

Sound communication and interpersonal skills;

Assist branch/operations manager in interviewing, hiring, and training of warehouse, yard and delivery personnel.

Required to have total knowledge of all activities/issues within the yard and warehouse (to the best of your ability)

On occasion create purchase orders for equipment repair in conjunction with branch/operations manager for the purposes of fleet/equipment maintenance.

Additional duties may be assigned by the Branch/Operations Manager.

Minimum three years warehouse supervisory experience preferably in the building supply industry

·Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.

·Time management skills and the ability to delegate.

·Work with management teams to observe disciplinary issues, attendance, and performance of direct reports.

·Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field.

·Manage, evaluate, and report on warehouse productivity.

·Previous experience of warehouse/ airlines preferred

Extensive knowledge of warehouse management principles

Knowledge of materials management, inventory controls and logistics

Able to work under tight deadlines, with demonstrable strong time management and priority setting skills.

At least 10-years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Depending on qualifications, the successful candidate may be offered a position at a more appropriate level and/or ladder.

Designation or enrollment in a Supply Chain or Logistics certification program (e.g., CPIM, SCMA, SCMP, CCLP).

Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor

Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques

Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency

Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data

Comfortable completing physically demanding tasks

Communicates daily to Distribution Manager and Warehouse Manager on achievement of shift targets, shift issues and provides daily production reports

Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization

5 years of work experience in a supervisory role ideally in a unionized warehouse environment

A proven leader with strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization

· Bilingual language skills required

· Scheduling associate shifts based on warehouse requirements.

· 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience in an industrial setting.

· Strong organization and prioritizing skills

· Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office Suite
