Warehouse Supervisor Jobs

Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and coordinates daily warehouse activities such as receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, supervising staff, and securing the warehouse & inventory. Located in Burnaby with a team of 15 associates, this role reports to the Operations Manager and assists with ensuring Heath & Safety requirements are met. This role is a Monday to Friday day shift role, working directly on the floor with the team.

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure trucks are loaded and/or offloaded as required
• Develops, recommends and implements new policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor’s requirement of warehouse supplies for inbound and submits orders for approval to Operation Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Oversees assigned operational area and ensures KPI targets are met, and staff complies with processes.
• Controls and releases pre-issued packaging requisitions for the pulling of product from the warehouses.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for time management for all team members using the Ceridian Dayforce system.
• Performs various functions in WM (Warehouse Management Software) and RF per job requirements.
• Ensures that warehouse policies and procedures are followed, and that the workplace is clean and safe.
• Responsible in partnership with Human Resources and Operation Management for recruitment, training, setting action and targets, appraising and managing performance, development, coaching and general support of team.
• Maintains daily production records for all staff and prepared weekly and monthly production reports
• Oversees daily staff meetings with warehouse floor staff.
• Responsible for the overall health & safety and well-being of the team members and enforcement of all health & safety practices.

Role Requirements

• Good product knowledge.
• Hands-on leadership experience with an eye for detail.
• Strong computer skills, specifically MS Office Suite, AS400 Knowledge & Inbound Scheduling System.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Secondary school diploma or higher
• Material handling equipment knowledge and certification are considered an asset.
• 3-5 years in a supervisory position in a distribution environment.
• Good organizational and planning skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment.
