Our client is a prestigious global manufacturing company in search of their next Operations Supervisor to join their team. This pivotal role involves managing operations at the manufacturing level within a unionized workforce. The position offers an attractive salary, substantial bonus structure, comprehensive benefits, and a robust RRSP package. As part of the hiring criteria, potential candidates are required to successfully complete the FA Level 2 course before onboarding. Upon successful completion of the course, the company will reimburse the associated fees.
As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing operations at the plant. You'll lead a talented team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to create a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment that consistently meets and exceeds performance targets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise day-to-day operations at the plant level.
- Champion continuous process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, problem-solving, and employee development.
- Uphold the company's commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of proven supervisory experience, with a strong focus on employee relations.
- Proficiency in SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.
- Hands-on experience in assembly line operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database navigation.
- High school diploma with equivalent experience or a preferred 4-year degree.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to operate both manual and automatic transmissions.
