Compensation

Position Description

The role of the Project Manager – Warehouse Distribution involves overseeing warehouse distribution projects within the GTA. This includes initiating new distribution centers, rolling out comprehensive automation systems, switching over current client functions, and introducing new client operations.

• Supervise both in-house and third-party team members to secure needed upfit and purchasing.
• Coordinate with WMS & IT engineers to supervise IT aspects, validate designs, organize testing plans, and manage budgets and changes.
• Exercise control over projects through systematic analysis, planning, assessment, and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues and clients for inventory transition planning and preparation of areas for testing and operational launch.
• Administer project finances while consistently examining risk reduction methods.
• Cultivate trustworthy bonds with project teams, significant influencers, and senior management.
• Handle numerous projects and associated deadlines concurrently. Predict and relate the consequences of project activities on client obligations and anticipations.
• Work with Operations to create and enforce training schedules, benchmarks, standard operating procedures, user acceptance testing, and process transitions.
• Oversee projects from determining requirements to shaping the scope, arranging, and monitoring timetables.
• Foster and uphold robust, confidence-building connections with the team and stakeholders.
• Team up with the Engineering division to clarify project necessities and approve detailed designs.
• Apply company protocols in scheduling and implementing strategies.

Experience

At least 5 years of Project Management practice.

Qualifications

Technical Abilities

• Commitment to quality control & risk oversight.
• Tracking project performance, evaluations, and measuring outcomes.
• Defining project scope and objectives.
• Arranging and organizing project schedules and resource distribution.
• High proficiency in MS Project & MS Excel.
• Understanding of MS Power BI & MS Visio is preferred.
• Skill in project planning and execution.
• Intermediate familiarity with AutoCAD is desirable.

Communication Abilities

• Adept at collaboration, conflict resolution, and exploring alternate solutions.
• Ability to tailor responses based on the audience.
• Capability to interact with various management levels and cross-departmental teams.
• Development of communication strategies fitting the project’s scale and significance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivational skills to encourage the team and find solutions to obstacles and conflicts.

Additional Information

• Required travel to other company locations within GTA as needed.

Education

• A diploma or bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent blend of education and work background.
• PMP and or related project management certification is favored.
