Project Coordinator (Remediation)


Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator tracks daily project costs, produces documentation, reconciles project invoices, and completes relevant reports. The Project Coordinator will foster relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization’s lines of business and will contribute to the company’s high-performance culture that promotes empowerment, engagement, and innovation.

Key Functions & Duties:

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Upholding and adhering to the company policies including a clean and safe work environment
  • Documenting and preparing materials for important actions and decisions from meetings as well as anticipating project changes
  • Maintain the confidentiality of company information, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain familiarity with WHMIS, WAH, WSIB, and OHSA safety responsibilities and duties.
  • Ability to multi-task and complete work on time and under pressure
  • Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
  • Understanding the need for professionalism with trades, consultants, and other client groups
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Adaptable in using new computer systems and technically savvy.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings
  • Strong communication (both written and oral) and relationship-building skills.

Required Education, Experience & Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting priorities and manage time efficiently
  • Experience in document control
  • Post Secondary education in Civil Engineer Technologist (CET) program or similar
  • Effective decision-making and conflict-management skills
  • Diligent eye for detail, concern for accuracy
  • Experience and comfort using various techniques, including Microsoft Office
  • 2+ years experience in engineering and construction projects
