JVK is a national leader in the distribution of Greenhouse supplies and young plants to Canadian Growers.We have a challenging and dynamic opportunity for the right candidate.
Position Purpose:
TheSales Managerprovides functional business expertise and support to the regional Territory Managers within Canada.Reporting to the Vice President – Sales and Marketing, the Sales Manager is also responsible for creating, developing, and managing relationships between JVK and key local, regional, and national accounts.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Increase customer awareness of JVK products and understand customer needs.
- Analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and generate reports to assess sales effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and strategic alliances, to expand our market presence.
- Work closely with marketing and operations teams to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and ensure seamless project execution.
- Train, lead, and motivate a team of sales representatives to maximize their potential and achieve individual and team sales targets. Part of this responsibility involves conducting performance reviews to assess their progress and growth.
- Ensure Territory Managers are supporting and selling within JVK’s key strategic partners.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify opportunities for growth and product/service improvements.
- Has a thorough understanding of local market trends, competition, and opportunities.
- Works with Territory Managers to understand product requirements to match local market needs.
- Develops sales strategies with Territory Managers to increase customer reach.
- Ensures Territory Managers understand all systems, policies, and procedures related to JVK.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales processes and strategies to achieve business objectives, including revenue targets and market expansion.
- Communicates product requirements to JVK’s Product Management Team.
Basic Requirements:
- At least 5 years of sales experience
- Bachelor’s degree
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel 2-4 days per week
- 50% travel or as required
- Ability to work from home, the road, and office as required.
- Experience in marketing, sales, or management
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
