The Nightingale Centre in Guelph/Wellington is hiring a Project Coordinator to help us build a solid foundation as we prepare to grow our grief and wellness programs.
Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator will work with the support and direction of the Executive Director to coordinate this project from inception through to completion in accordance with identified objectives, deliverables, and timelines. A few of the key activities of the project include: environmental scans; and coordinating the development of policy, practice, and process documents, developing and scheduling education for various audiences. The position will be hybrid, working remotely the majority of the time.
Employment: 10 Month Contract
Hours: 35 hours a week
Location: Guelph/WellingtonCounty
Environment: Hybrid — Largely remote work with ability to travel/meet in Guelph once a week
About The Nightingale Centre for Grieving Children, Youth, and Families
We are The Nightingale Centre, a charity that helps and supports children, young people, and their parents/caregivers after someone important in their life dies. We have supported hundreds of young people and families to rebuild their lives around grief since 2019. Our vision is that no child or family grieves alone. We are located in the community of Guelph/Wellington.

● Diploma/degree in not-for-profit management, business, health policy, related field or equivalent experience
● Experience managing multiple projects or responsibilities simultaneously
● Experience working with partners or in a collaborative work environment
● 1-2 years of leadership or project coordination or management experience
● Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
● Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
● Strong interpersonal skills
● Demonstrated intuitive, initiative, and problem-solving skills
● Excellent organizational and time management skills
● Superior written and verbal communication skills
● Proficient with computers (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive)
● Experience with project management and the development of policy, process, and best practice an asset
● The desire to learn and grow your professional skills
● Professional and approachable
● Knowledge of, and experience with, charities and not for profits an asset
