The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator for our Fresh Seafood team located at 3 Edvac Drive, with strong administrative skills that can multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and provide support. The successful candidate will be hands on, possess strong analytical skills, and will take initiative to solve problems. This position requires being on call every other weekend in order to problem solve and complete inbound shipments. You do not need to be present in the office when on call. You will be provided a cell phone to work with the deliverers and suppliers, as well as pass on or update information via email to the Team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee transfers both internally and externally.
- As part of your regular duties, you must be able to work some extra hours to ensure business needs are met.
- Compose, type correspondence, and respond to emails and corporate demands in a timely fashion.
- Other office duties as required.
- Responsible for balancing purchase orders.
- Create and set up new accounts.
- Create summary reports in Excel after balancing information.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as required.
- Match vendor information to the correct purchase orders.
- Accurate data entry.
- Input and match appropriate Sales and purchase returns.
- Provide new hires with appropriate documents to sign and then forward to head office.
- Post weekly sales.
- Responsible for updating weekly sales.
- Manage existing accounts in the database, ensuring information is current.
- Update claims.
- Working with several spreadsheets.
- Responsible for ensuring all hours worked for weekend shifts are sent to corporate payroll.
- Invoicing – Update the computer system with logistics activities.
Qualifications:
- Strong Excel skills in preparing reports.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and positive team skills are required.
- Good math skills, as you will be adding and calculating weights.
