About your next Challenge as a Logistics Coordinator:

Our Brantford plant is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team ASAP! The Brantford plant is a manufacturing facility that mainly provides product in our Residential Construction business unit, selling to our renovation centers for home improvement projects.

The role:

  • Support and back-up Customer Service department, handling customer concerns or delivery issues
  • Processes shipping documents including but not limited to packing slips, bill of lading, customs paperwork. Responsible for the preparation and transmission of border crossing paperwork
  • Obtain and negotiate freight quotes from forwarders, dedicated carriers
  • Coordinating with our internal Account Managers, Warehouse and Production staff to ensure inventory is available prior to scheduling shipments
  • Scheduling and coordinating inbound, outbound and intercompany delivery appointments - you will be in constant contact with freight providers ensuring that our manufactured products can make it to the customers
  • Coordinate with members of the warehouse and production team on priority loads, changes to schedule and loads per day


What we need from you:

  • Must have strong understanding of import / export requirements (CUSMA, USMCA, COO) along with strong computer skills for document creation and tracking
  • Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
  • Good command of MS Office (Excel and Word) with an ability to quickly learn new software
  • University degree or college diploma in business, logistics or a related field of study
  • SAP and EDI experience an asset
  • Adaptable, strong communicator, and problem-solving skills a must
