Logistics Freight Coordinator Jobs

Familiar with supply chain processes (e.g., inventory planning, warehouse management)

Works with management to ensure invoicing reports are accurate and submitted to the corporate finance department.

Assists the operations team with any additional data entry requirements.

Experience in transportation, logistics, international trade, or related disciplines.

Strong communication, comprehension, and analytical skills.

Positive and outgoing with strong interpersonal skills.

Post-secondary education a definite asset

Minimum 3-5 years related CSR/shipping experience

Coordinating and preparing shipping documents, utilizing company ERP system.

Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pick up of goods

Provide tracking and delivery information

Negotiate pricing with external freight forwarders

Strong negotiation skills and extensive sales experience.

Minimum 5 years of sales experience.

Minimum 3 years of logistics industry experience.

Experience in creating and executing a sales plan.

Experience using systems including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, TMS systems.

Strong organization and planning skills we well as effective written and verbal communication skills.

Communicate specific freight requirements and procedures to drivers and ensure customers are well informed.

Previous experience in the logistic/supply chain industry is an asset

Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively

Demonstrated ability to actively manage multiple, concurrent projects

Positive attitude with good people skills

Communicating with customers and responding to their queries (via phone, email or fax) in a professional and timely manner.

Maintain current knowledge of documentation and Customs requirements

Carrier Meetings / Relationship Building- setting requirements and measuring performance using tools such as Carrier Report Cards.

Manage assigned projects as required

5 -10 years related experience in freight/logistics and customs

Process improvement experience is a valuable asset

Good Analytical skills, detail driven, solid communication skills and the willingness to drive change are crucial.

Experience with equipment contracts and logistics is a strong asset

Process rental requisitions, quotations, reservations, and contracts, while maintaining inventory records

Provide exceptional customer service to both customers and internal contacts

Build and foster a team dynamic within the assigned region with sales representatives and the service team

Issue and receive purchase orders

Coordination of freight including BOL’s and customs paperwork

Coordinate all Air Import/Export Freight activities, including quotation, booking, documentation, data entry, Shipment tracking and tracing, billing, arranging deliveries

Comply with all Canada customs, IATA and Transport Canada regulations and requirements

Excellent communication with the English language skills both verbal and written

Skillsets required for the role:

Communicate daily with airlines, vendors, truckers, customers, warehouse contact, sales representatives and overseas offices.

Must be authorized to work in Canada and reside in Ontario.
