Reporting to the Manager, Business Operations and working alongside Subject Matter Experts across the organization, the Business Operations Specialist, Learning Programs will help define the learning and development framework and support the operational success of learning programs for CIC Engineering. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys organizing and optimizing processes and tools in a fast-paced, iterative environment.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Plan key events including team offsites & conferences
  • Help define the learning and development framework
  • Operationalize and manage the associated learning programs
  • Help develop and manage documentation of departmental policies and processes related to training and development
  • Strictly maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Identify and execute operational improvements to increase efficiency and responsiveness across the organization through process improvement, project planning and stakeholder management
  • Partner with multiple groups to improve onboarding and training experiences for new team members


What you’ll bring to the role:


  • Ability to create partnerships with and influence others

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Natural curiosity to learn new things
  • Familiarity with Google Suite
  • Analytical problem solving and process improvement skills
  • Track record of follow through on milestones and project completion


And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following:


  • Previous experience with or passion for Learning & Development activities
  • Previous experience organizing events
  • Previous experience working in a remote/distributed environment
  • Familiarity with Slack, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence)
