This 12-month contract position can be based out of any of our offices and is part of our National Learning Team. This role will have a hybrid work schedule and the individual will need to be present in the office as required. Reporting to the Manager, Learning, the Coordinator, Learning is responsible for the coordination and successful execution of our national learning initiatives for the legal assistant, paraprofessional, and business services groups, as well as national compliance and EDI training.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Has direct experience coordinating event logistics or training programs;
- Values working in a team environment.
- Is passionate about learning and development and helping others learn the skills necessary to be successful in their job;
- Has exceptional organizational, time management and attention to detail skills;
Key duties of the role include:
- Ensure all program details are appropriately tracked;
- Coordinate program related logistics, including calendar invitations, reminders and boardroom set-up;
- Coordinate the uploading and updating of program content onto the Firm’s Learning Management System, as well as maintain and generate reports.
- Liaise with program stakeholders and presenters to manage the materials and logistics of learning programs;
The position requires:
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills;
- Experience in the legal industry or other professional services is an asset;
- Working knowledge of adult learning principals;
- Strong administrative skills, such as time management and records management;
- At least 2 years of experience coordinating event logistics or training programs;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
What you'll bring:
- Required technical skills include: Learning Management Systems, Microsoft Office programs and HTML Code.
- Bilingualism an asset.
- Understand and exhibit knowledge and skills in learning and development.
- Degree or diploma in Adult Education, Human Resources, Business Administration or event management and/or 2+ years in Learning and Development or event logistics, ideally in a professional services firm.
