Role Title


Member Network Coordinator- 1 Year Contract (Remote - Canada)


Purpose of role


Reporting to the Team Lead, Governance Operations, the Member Network Coordinator will support the Member Governance Team in the management and administration of Foresters Member Network, including coordinating and participating on volunteer leader meetings, providing customer service to volunteer leaders and preparing communications.


Flexible working hours are provided. Volunteer leader meetings are held via phone across 3 countries (Canada, UK, and US) and during evenings.




Key responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and set up volunteer leader meetings using provided templates
  • Distribute meeting materials and minutes
  • Other duties and administrative tasks as assigned
  • Work effectively with office based, other remote and external contacts regarding Foresters member governance
  • Serve as a contact person for volunteer leaders
  • Maintain business professionalism when speaking with volunteer leaders
  • Prepare communications including additional documents for special meetings based on provided templates
  • Work with team members and cross departmentally to support succession planning and sustainability of the Member Governance system
  • Take minutes on volunteer leaders’ meetings
  • Support Governance Specialists in delivering governance programs and providing assistance to volunteer leaders



Key Qualifications


  • Ability to work well primarily on their own or in a team environment with other staff on assigned roles and projects.
  • Professional and self-confident with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; ability to set timelines and project progression; flexibility to adapt to emerging issues in a changing environment.
  • Candidates should have a post-secondary education and 3-5 years of experience in administration support.
  • Knowledge of fraternal benefit societies is an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics desirable.
  • Excellent experience with telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to generate trust and confidence.
  • Decisive with good judgment/decision-making skills to act effectively in resolving issues which arise.
  • Self-motivated, ability to meet deadlines and stay on schedule
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.


Flexible working arrangements; ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
