OVERVIEW
We are hiring aCommunications Coordinatorto support our firm’s communications practice with activities and tasks that involve strategy development and deployment, client interaction, and social media management.
TERM
Permanent; full-time
LOCATION
This role will be remote, though preference may be given to candidates who reside in Nova Scotia.
Candidates must have a suitable workspace with access to the internet, telephone and other resources to carry out the duties of this role effectively.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Communications Manager, theCommunications Coordinatorwill:
- Create, edit and integrate content on our firm’s website, social media, client newsletters, communications-related projects, and more.
- Write articles for our quarterly sector digital magazine.
- Collaborate with senior communications professionals to create and executive client plans and strategies.
- Keep websites updated with relevant content.
- Perform other related tasks.
- Other tasks as required.
- Analyze social media analytics.
- Write articles for client magazines.
- Participate in the coordination of communication initiatives.
- Support the creation of social media content for clients and the firm.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in developing strategies and content for social media.
- Ability to easily understand and navigate online technologies.
- Results-oriented, self-directed, outstanding organization and time management skills.
- An undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field with no more than three years of relevant experience acquired at a non-profit organization, communications agency, regulatory body, or small business.
- Hardworking, determined, and driven by potential.
- Highly developed analytical and research skills.
- Self-starting, proactive and capable of working both independently and in a team setting.
- High-level EQ and gravitas.
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral).

COMPENSATION
- Starting at $40,000 – $45,000 per year, depending on qualifications, plus generous benefits and other incentives.
CONDITIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada and whose place of work is in Canada. Proof of eligibility and residence will be required.
- The successful candidate must be able to travel in Canada and abroad if required.
