Job Description
ServiceNow Developer (Remote-Ottawa, Canada)


We are looking for a ServiceNow Developer for our client, a Canadian Federal entity. The ServiceNow Developer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform to optimize and streamline various business processes.


This is a 6 month (extensions likely) contract role, 40 hours per week. This is a remote role based out of Ottawa, Canada.


Responsibilities


  • Customization and Scripting - Use JavaScript and scripting languages to enhance functionality. Establish business rules, UI policies, and data policies.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing - Maintain comprehensive documentation and share insights.
  • Security and Compliance - Implement security best practices and manage user access.
  • Solution Design and Development - Collaborate with stakeholders, translating requirements into technical specs. Design and develop applications, forms, workflows, and scripts in ServiceNow. Customize modules and configurations to align with process needs.
  • Troubleshooting and Support - Diagnose and resolve platform issues, providing technical support.
  • User Interface and User Experience - Design intuitive interfaces using ServiceNow's UI tech. Customize portals and service catalogs to enhance user experience.
  • Integration and Automation - Integrate ServiceNow with external systems through APIs and develop automation workflows.
  • Continuous Improvement - Stay updated on ServiceNow features, proposing process enhancements.


Requirements


  • ServiceNow certifications preferred.
  • ITIL understanding is beneficial.
  • 5+ years experience as a ServiceNow Developer with successful implementations.
  • Canada Federal Security Clearance is highly desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
