Digital Moment is a Canadian charity determined to make sure youth are educated with the skills to thrive, the knowledge to make informed decisions, and the tools they need to use technology to make the world a better place. We are continuously innovating and creating immersive and engaging experiences where young people can learn digital skills such as coding, algorithm and data literacy, and artificial intelligence to have a social impact. We are currently looking to hire a Learning Facilitator and Coordinator to join our team to help support an agile team environment that thrives for continuous innovation and growth.
You will be responsible for supporting the launch of the first cohort of a social pilot initiative we have launched in the last twelve months we call the Social Innovation Lab (the Lab). The cohort will go through a 4 week intensive programming course about Coding, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media workshops with youth ages 14 to 17 years old. You will also support the Program Owner in the coordination of the different stakeholders involved in the Lab, mainly community partners and corporate volunteers.
You will be asked to deliver and create Digital Moment educational experiences for the youth participating in the Lab, in collaboration with the Lab partners. You must be comfortable working with different teams as a group, juggle with uncertainty and adapt rapidly to unforeseen situations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Support the organization, planning and promotion of the launch of the Lab ;
• Take part in observation, feedback, and skill development within the team.
• Support the Lab Owner in the selection process of participants of the first cohort of the Lab ;
• Deliver high-quality Digital Moment workshops in varying formats and contexts: live, virtual, recorded, blended, training, seminars, and conferences.
• Share your relationships, stories, and experiences with other Digital Moment teams in a mindset of continuous improvement.
• Assist in the coordination and sustainability of partnerships secured for the activities of the Lab ;
• Contribute to the Lab’s pedagogical approach, content adaptation and creation;
• Ensure the quality and impact of our delivered services through the collection and analysis of feedback ;

Nous cherchons à combler un poste de facilitateur(trice) et coordinateur(trice) afin d’aider à supporter une équipe et un environnement qui aspire à l'innovation et à la croissance continue.
Vous serez chargé(e) de soutenir le lancement de la première cohorte du laboratoire d'innovation sociale (le Labo) qui sera un cours de programmation intensif de 4 semaines sur le codage, l'intelligence artificielle et les ateliers de médias numériques pour les jeunes de 14 à 17 ans. Vous aiderez également la gestionnaire du laboratoire à coordonner les différentes parties prenantes impliquées dans le laboratoire, principalement les partenaires communautaires et les entreprises bénévoles.
En collaboration avec les partenaires du laboratoire, vous devrez créer et mettre en œuvre des expériences éducatives de type "Digital Moment" à l'intention des jeunes participant au laboratoire. Vous devez être à l'aise de travailler avec différentes équipes, jongler avec l'incertitude et vous adapter rapidement à des situations imprévues.
VOUS FEREZ :

• Participer à l'observation, à la rétroaction et au développement des compétences au sein de l'équipe.
• Partager vos relations, vos histoires et vos expériences avec les autres équipes de Digital Moment.
• Proposer des ateliers Digital Moment de haute qualité dans différents formats et contextes : en direct, virtuels, enregistrés, mixtes, formations, séminaires et conférences.
• Veiller à la qualité et à l'impact des services fournis en recueillant et en analysant le retour d'information ;
• Soutenir la gestionnaire du programme dans le processus de sélection des participants de la première cohorte du Labo ;
• Contribuer à l'approche pédagogique du Labo, à l'adaptation et à la création du contenu ;
• Aider à la coordination et à la durabilité des partenariats obtenus pour les activités du Labo ;
• Soutenir l'organisation, la planification et la promotion du lancement du Labo ;

Requirements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Availability outside business hours. Some activities will happen evenings, after school and on weekends.
• Experience as community organizer working with youth is a strong asset
• Degree (or currently studying) in Computer Science, Engineering, Education, Communications, or another relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience or training.
• Natural curiosity and eagerness to learn new things.
• Strong coding experience, with at least one of these programming languages, JavaScript, Python or Scratch
• A strong commitment to social equity and inclusion ;
• Coordination capabilities
• EN/FR bilingualism - written and oral.
• A strong passion for technology and education ;
• An understanding of the social and technological innovation process with technology involving youth
• Be located in the Greater Montreal area and be able to travel to in-person events in that region

WHO YOU ARE:

• Familiar with innovation processes involving the use and exploration of technology by youth ;
• A very clear and engaging oral communicator, able to adapt to different types of audiences and knowledge levels ;
• Confident and creative in taking on new situations and resolving technical issues ;
• Professional and autonomous; able to optimize time and resources, and produce quality work.

VOUS AUREZ BESOIN :

• Solide expérience du codage, avec au moins l'un des langages de programmation suivants : JavaScript, Python ou Scratch.
• Une forte passion pour la technologie et l'éducation.
• Une compréhension du processus d'innovation en matière de technologie impliquant les jeunes.
• Un engagement fort en faveur de l'équité sociale et de l'inclusion.
• Être situé(e) dans la région du Grand Montréal et être en mesure de se déplacer pour assister à des activités en personne dans cette région.
• Disponibilité en dehors des heures de travail. Certaines activités se dérouleront le soir, après l'école et le week-end.
• Expérience en tant qu'organisateur(trice) communautaire travaillant avec des jeunes est un atout.
• Capacité de coordination.
• Diplôme (ou études en cours) en informatique, ingénierie, éducation, communication, ou autre discipline pertinente, ou expérience professionnelle ou formation équivalente.
• Bilinguisme EN/FR - écrit et oral.
• Une curiosité naturelle et un désir d'apprendre de nouvelles choses.

• Professionnel(le) et autonome ; capable d'optimiser le temps et les ressources, et de produire un travail de qualité.
• Un(e) communicateur(trice) oral très clair et engageant(e), capable de s'adapter à différents types de publics et de niveaux de connaissances.
• Familiarité avec les processus d'innovation impliquant l'utilisation et l'exploration de la technologie par les jeunes.
• Confiant(e) et créatif(tive) dans la prise en charge de nouvelles situations et de résolution de problèmes techniques.
