Business Analyst, Erp (Temporary, For Approx. 24 Months)

We are hiring a temporary Business Analyst, ERP to support the ERP Program team as a Subject Matter Expert on a Work Management implementation in the City's technology ecosystem. A successful candidate can design a Fit for Use work and asset management solution for the City of Guelph. Experience in implementation of IBM Maximo or similar software, with a background in maintenance and asset management is critical. The main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role analytical thinking and the ability to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users in plain language is required. Hours of Work

35 hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 830 am and 430 pm.

Your role

• Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
• Provide guidance for new data collection with recommended processes and quality requirements.
• Review and provide feedback from stakeholders on business requirements and other implementation documents.
• Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
• Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
• Provide guidance for development strategy for legacy data conversion and data migration, develop conversion functional specification and mapping.
• Lead requirements gathering effort for the work management, maintenance, inventory management, and asset management data and processes to support the IBM Maximo solution configuration including supporting the design of custom applications and interfaces ensuring quality of the implementation.
• Evaluate business processes and necessary reporting, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
• Perform user acceptance testing.
• Effectively develop plans and communicate concisely to cross-functional team members.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Perform requirements analysis.
• Update, implement and maintain procedures.
• Support development of training materials.
• Develop strategy/ framework, criteria and key design decision document which can be applied consistently across Service Delivery Areas while gathering and recording requirements, mapping business processes, supporting solution design and change management.
• Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce reports.
• Ensure solution meets business needs and requirements.
• Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
• Provide support in functional test case development and application test.

Qualifications

• Ability to document findings and create detailed reports and present findings.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) is an asset.
• Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of municipal asset management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Ability to understand IT methodology.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• IBM Certified Advanced Deployment Professional - Maximo Asset Management v7.6 is an asset.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Visio.
• Able to compile data and information from different sources for critical evaluation, reconcile conflicts and communicate appropriate information to management and stakeholders.
• Extensive knowledge of work management, maintenance and asset management processes and how a CMMS or EAM system can be implemented to meet customer requirements.
• Working knowledge of procurement process and JD Edwards will be an asset.
• Considerable experience related to the duties listed above, normally acquired through post-secondary education in Engineering, Commerce, Business, Economics or closely related field and experience in the solution design and implementation of full lifecycle CMMS implementations, with understanding of industry best practices for maintenance and asset management. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Implementation of Oracle's JD Edwards and PowerBI with Work Management systems are considered an asset.
• Ability to develop use cases, test scripts and then leading the execution of the tests including documenting the results.
• Able to manage multiple and changing demands and priorities.

$38.99-$48.73 per hour
