We invite you to join London Hydro as a Business Systems Analyst – ERP Systems within our Information Systems Department. Reporting to the Program Manager, Enterprise Applications, you will apply your knowledge of complex application development and system support as you participate in operational processes and project teams in order to ensure the delivery of high-quality information systems solutions to London Hydro’s business users and customers.
Specifically, your duties and responsibilities as a Business Systems Analyst will include:
· Primary responsibility for day-to-day technical and functional support and maintenance of ERP system (Finance, procurements, Accounts Payable and Asset Management) and related software and integrations.This includes: Responding to end-user support requests and issues; Analyzing errors and discrepancies in systems and processes; Providing resolutions or making recommendations; Configuring and modifying configuration parameters and system processes based on user needs.
· Interaction with internal business users and external organizations to understand and support the needs of London Hydro’s operation and processes.
· Analysis and documentation of detailed business requirements as assigned
· Development of process flow models to provide a clear understanding of existing business processes and system interactions as well as changes to support process improvement and integrate corporate objectives.
· Development of ad-hoc queries to support short-term information needs.
· Development and maintenance of reporting systems to make operational and business intelligence data accessible to users, as needed or on schedule.
· Research and documentation of requirements, options and solutions in developing business areas, including web presentment, mobility, and user engagement.
· Design and implementation of automation processes to improve operational efficiency.
· Creation and execution of test plans to validate correctness of information systems solutions and ensure that all business requirements have been sufficiently met.
· Adhering to all Occupational Health & Safety Act rules and regulations, the E&USA rule book, London Hydro work practices and London Hydro’s Health & Safety Management System.
The qualified Business Systems Analysts we seek will be able to meet the following requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized university, or equivalent. (related business designation considered an asset)
· Proficiency in supporting and maintaining ERP Applications and processes (Financials, Procurement, Inventory, Work Orders, and Asset Management)
· Knowledge of complex application development and system support. Experience working with large ERP and database systems.
· Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 or higher and Hubble/Insight, Crystal, DSI barcoding is a significant asset
· Working knowledge of the following would be an asset: reporting tools (Business Objects BI suite, HCM/Payroll systems, utility CIS/billing systems, SAP S4, IS-Utilities, scripting languages (SQL, Python, Perl, etc.), Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Meter Data Management (MDM) systems, Meter Data Management (MDM) systems, JIRA, Docushare and electric or other utility processes considered an asset. and electric or other utility processes.
· Excellent communication, analytical and documentation skills.
· Ability to communicate technical subjects clearly to non-technical users.
· Ability to work closely in a team environment with both business users and developers, as well as independently, with changing priorities.
· Ability to appropriately manage, communicate and present issues to the management team.
