Within the next year, as the HR & Talent Advisor, you will be supporting clients as an extension of their HR team, providing strategic advisory and working with them to build and manage an inclusive recruitment process. You’ll be working closely with Jade Hugh (Sr. Talent Advisor) and the collective team.

This opportunity is a one-year contract. An extension or the move to a permanent role is a goal (as we plan on expanding); however, it cannot be guaranteed.

In this role, you will partner with inspiring HR leaders, Managers and Executives to scale and support their teams, and provide sustainable recommendations on best-in-class inclusive hiring practices and employee experiences.


  • Managing HR advisory projects and advisory through ongoing consultancy engagements and/or projects.
  • Co-facilitating our Bloom Academy workshops (specifically the Recruiter Track).
  • Offering a human-centric approach to the application and candidate journey.
  • Providing weekly updates and analytics to Bloom clients on the hiring progress.
  • Fostering long-term relationships with candidates for current and future opportunities.
  • Flexing your creative sourcing muscles to strategically build diverse candidate pipelines.
  • Advising clients on how to build their teams through the lens of inclusion.
  • Creating content for Bloom Academy, community sessions, and contributing to our general marketing efforts.
  • Cultivating a thoughtful and values-driven approach to hiring for our clients.
  • Supporting the Talent Advisory business by managing the full-cycle recruitment process while providing an inclusive candidate and applicant experience.

  • You have experience building teams through the lens of inclusion.
  • You have experience with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Loom, Asana, Notion, and Lever.
  • You can respectfully call in hiring managers and team members when they are evaluating candidates from a point of bias.
  • You are okay with being wrong and can implement new ways of working when presented with new information.

Things you need to know


  • Bloom is still an early-stage start-up and we’ve doubled our growth year after year; however, we still experience the ebbs and flows of business.
  • We’re a tight-knit team; however, the Advisors work autonomously and independently quite a bit.
  • You can work with Bloom in a way that works for you. If you’re interested in working with us via your corporation, sole proprietorship, or as a long-term contractor, we are happy to build work that works for you.
  • You’ll have autonomy and input in selecting every client we work with. No surprises. We get collective team approval prior to taking on any new contracts.
  • You’ll never work on the weekend or hear from Avery after 6 PM.


$40 - $45 an hour


The Compensation


$40.00 - $45.00 per hour at 32 hours a week as we reserve a 4-day workweek.

Round 1: Remote 30-min interview with Jade Hugh (Sr. Talent Advisor)


Round 2: Remote 45-min interview with Avery Francis (CEO, Bloom)


Round 3: Remote 45-min interview with Vinciane de Pape (Lead, DEI Advisory) + Jessica Regan (Sr. DEI Advisor)

We’ll take you through the expectations of this role and how you can make an impact, then after three interviews, we make a decision to offer! It's that simple. We believe in taking an intentional approach and moving fast. We've spent a lot of work getting aligned on what we are looking for so you don't have to spend as much time meeting with us as we figure it out.

The Commitment


This is a full-time, one-year contract, operating on a 4-day workweek with EST operational hours.


The Location


We are 100% remote and encourage folks to work where they can do their best work. Fun flex —our team went remote before the pandemic forced (most of) the workforce to do so.
