Altera Sunrise Program-Portfolio Director
Role Description:
Divurgent is now hiring a full-time Director to lead our Altera Sunrise service delivery program and a portfolio of Altera-specific technology projects. This position may be based anywhere in North America and must be able to travel across Canada and the United States as required.
This role will apply their past expertise implementing, training on or leading products for Altera / Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager and other Altera Sunrise applications (Surgical, Ambulatory, dbMotion, and more) to develop and refine program and project standards, templates, training and more for exciting projects throughout the United States and Canada. In-depth Altera Sunrise application and product experience will be required for this role.
Must have a valid passport and work up to 50% onsite for customer projects, as assigned. Travel per diem will be offered, where overnight travel is required. Must be able to start mid- to end-September. All Divurgent employees must be COVID-19 vaccinated and be able to successfully pass a background check. Must have a valid driver’s license where regional travel is required for customer engagements. No third-party inquiries or referrals please.
Program Responsibilities
- Support the pre-sales process, as a subject matter expert, for all new Divurgent direct-to-customer and Altera-partnered sales opportunities
- Ensure Altera program elements remain aligned to all applicable USA & Canada healthcare standards and state / provincial legislation & regulations
- Build and lead relationships with Altera Digital Health, Inc. key delivery, program, operational and sales stakeholders across North America
- Ensure Divurgent documentation, training guides and related program elements remain current through Altera Digital Health, Inc. application upgrades and releases
- Ensure a base level of application training and readiness is in place for Altera trained Divurgent team members
- Use Altera project and program data to inform continuous quality decisions and program optimization initiatives
- Monitor all Altera program and project key performance indicators including financial, employee, customer engagement, quality, risk, and safety
- Build and maintain Altera Sunrise specific go-live, clinical transformation, clinical change management and training programs, methodologies, delivery and project plans, artifacts, and knowledge libraries for Divurgent team members to use for delivery and pre-sales activities
- Support a distributed team of Clinical Transformation Advisors, Project Managers, Clinical Change Management Advisors, Trainers, and department leaders engaged in hospital and health system clinical transformation projects, ensuring an industry leading patient care and clinician experience is delivered by all team members
Project Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team of professionals delivering a wide-range of project initiatives including go-lives, transformation, training, system configuration and project management at contracted hospitals and healthcare providers
- Work closely with physician practice administrators, nursing and clinical practice managers, practice staff and other leaders to create and implement new and revised clinical programs
- Ensure that reporting and deliverable deadlines for all clinical transformation programs are met and identify and address barriers to meeting project timelines
- Alongside customers, oversee the build of new or revision of existing clinical service delivery plans and operational workflows, leveraging the Sunrise suite of applications
- Ensure that clinical programs support the spirit and intent of the hospital or health system and comply with all clinical regulations associated with programs and all other contracts
- Be the single point of contact for customer executive levels at assigned projects and oversee people, customer, project deliverables, financial, quality, risk and safety elements
- Monitor performance of all clinical transformation projects assigned and track key performance indicators, course-correcting early where issues identified may escalate
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience applying quality, safety and clinical integration best practice approaches to systems redesign and care transformation
- Knowledge of evidence-based Clinical Practice Guidelines
- Demonstrated leadership ability, communications, and interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with physicians, management, staff, external agencies, and patients/families
- Past EMR/EHR go-live experience with Altera/Allscripts required
- Management skills necessary to oversee operations, budgets, and staffing supervision
- Masters or Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, nursing, related clinical or digital health field
- Five (5) years of experience with Altera Sunrise Clinical Manager and applications suite
- Experience implementing a variety of improvement methodologies including development and management of performance dashboards with cascading metrics and aligned action plans
- Demonstrated strong operational and project leadership skills including developing and implementing systems to hardwire processes, drive accountability, delegate and communicate performance expectations and apply prioritization and proactive problem-solving to ensure achievement of deliverables and outcomes
