Mission
The person assigned to the role will have to lead a team of engineers and technicians assigned to industrial projects, all in accordance with the requirements and respecting the pre-established constraints of budget, schedule, and quality. The person sought must have an excellent knowledge of project delivery methods such as EPCM, EPC and other alternative methods such as IPD (Integrated Project Delivery).
With close to 400 employees across Canada, CIMA+'s Energy and Resources Sector Industrial Markets is hard at work accelerating our industry's energy transition and decarbonization. CIMA+ is involved in major projects in the mining and metals, biofuels, industrial and manufacturing, and pulp and paper markets. As part of a multi-disciplinary project team, the candidate will have to manage large-scale projects and ensure that the various stages of completion are carried out in compliance with established performance criteria.
Primary Responsibilities

• Be the main contact for the client and act as a bridge between the client and the multidisciplinary team at CIMA+
• Ensure full management of the projects entrusted to him at the level of engineering, project services (PMO), construction and commissioning.
• Be responsible for the organization of the project, planning, work plans and see to their application
• Contribute to the implementation of tools and budgets, timelines, quality of deliverables, in compliance with health, safety and the environment
• Ensure compliance of the project with the mandates entrusted and ensure the management of change requests
• Participate in the choice of technical solutions in collaboration with the designers
• Be responsible for the management of the personnel assigned to the project and the coordination of the various departments involved
• Ensure, on an ongoing basis, the best possible communication between all stakeholders

Profile

• More than 10 years of relevant experience heavy industry on multidisciplinary projects
• Recognized expertise in the management of engineering projects and construction, planning and estimating
• Experience in project management on FEL 1 to FEL 3 studies, detailed engineering, and execution phases.
• Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec
• Availability to travel to the factory/industrial site
• University degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical or civilengineering or equivalent
• Have an ability to coordinate projects of a multidisciplinary nature
• Good communication (oral, written, French and English, to speak with other offices across Canada)
• Acute sense of organization, rigor and judgment
