Our client is a developer of project management software designed to help developers improve their software development lifecycle. The company's software helps firms to plan their project inside of GitHub, enabling the use live data to identify risks and remove bottleneck so clients can spend more time working on code and less time managing the work.
The company is going through immense growth and they are looking for high performing an experienced VP, Revenue with a track record of scaling revenue teams from $5MM to $20MM+.
The position:
- Forecast and analyze sales performance metrics
- Shape, scale and lead the Sales/Accounts team on both pre and post sales to maximize on a land-and-expand model
- Understand the competitive landscape (strengths, weaknesses, benefits) and determine how to position their products to win
- Create a high-performance culture, marked by accountability and continuous improvement; importing best practices
- Transform the revenue team to a high performing growth-oriented organization and lead the current team of Account Executives and Customer Success reps
- Work with Product Management to share observations on market needs and product requirements
- Develop and maintain a performance tracking plan for team members through their career development
About You:
- 2+ years managing a Sales & Customer Success/Account Management team
- You are a builder and driver who loves hunting and farming
- You have experience managing the full customer lifecycle and finding, closing and keeping customers happy and expanding
- Natural influencer who can build bridges for cross commercial collaboration
- Data driven and able to utilize sales inputs to be able to make decisions that improve conversion and overall deal size
- You have a track record of success > exceeding team sales quotas and achieving sales KPIs
- 5+ years of management/leadership experience for a new business team in a land and expand model
- Experience working in a PLG sales environment
- You are very hands on and operational. You take a “player-coach” approach, being on the field and in the trenches with your team and helping to advance key customer relationships
