The Role

The Junior Creative Lead at Pinch Social is a hybrid position that combines graphic design and creative direction. As a multi-talented superstar, you will be responsible for the creative process from idea to execution, ensuring design quality, brand consistency, and strategic thinking. Reporting to the Creative Leads, you will work closely with creative directors, copywriters, strategists, account leads, photographers, and videographers to create outstanding social media content for our clients. Please note: While you will mostly be working remotely on occasion will be required to be on-set for photoshoots and team events downtown Toronto / GTA.

What you would be responsible for:

• Collaborate with the creative, strategic, and technical teams to generate clear ideas and concepts for social media content.
• Assist/direct on-set photo shoots, managing props, models, and product staging.
• Lead the creative process, providing direction for planning, implementing, and integrating strategic and brand direction.
• Maintain brand consistency across all creative output, including photography, videography, and design layouts.
• Edit videos for use on various social media platforms like reels, TikTok, and GIFs.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and Premiere. Knowledge of Aftereffects is a plus.
• Take internal and client feedback and adapt to the agreed-upon direction for each project.
• Contribute creative ideas for social media posts, including videos, graphics, memes, and GIFs.
• Stay updated on trends and industry best practices in social media and design.
• Collaborate with photographers and videographers to prepare comprehensive shot lists for video and photo shoots.
• Demonstrate exceptional project management skills, especially when handling multiple clients.
• Provide effective and efficient design support for day-to-day projects and long-term campaigns.

Nice to Haves:

• Tech-savviness and willingness to explore new apps and software.
• Photography and videography skills, including experience with iPhone, DSLR, and various photo and video editing apps (including TikTok and reels).
• Comfortable modeling in photoshoots for our clients if needed.

Additional Information:

The successful candidate must possess good taste, a strong sense of on-trend aesthetics, and the ability to identify impactful visual elements. Initiative and a proactive attitude are essential traits, as you will be encouraged to take ownership of projects and bring innovative ideas to the table. Quick learners are valued, and a willingness to learn new skills is essential.

Since social media is at the core of this role, the ideal candidate MUST be an avid user of platforms like Instagram and TikTok, with a deep understanding of social media marketing trends, best practices, and design trends—demonstrating their expertise through their resume and portfolio.

If you enjoy attending and posting about cool events, some of our clients host events that might require on-site social media coverage and support, like live tweeting, IG Live, and stories. It's a great opportunity to have fun while doing what you love.

We offer an annual compensation of $45,000 to $60,000, negotiable based on experience and skills, with the potential for year-end incentives tied to individual and company performance. Benefits will be available after completing the first two weeks of employment. Additionally, we provide unlimited sick days, unlimited vacation (within reason and subject to approval), and fully flexible remote working options, including the possibility of travel work.
