Position: Motion Graphic Designer

Job Status: Temporary Full-Time

Location: 299 Queen Street West, Toronto

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required

Responsibilities

We at Bell Media are looking for a talented motion designer to join our team. The ideal candidate would be someone who has excellent motion design skills, thrives at working independently and has the ability to prioritize workloads while reacting quickly to changing priorities. This role would allow you to design in a fast-paced environment while still having lots of creative freedom. In addition to templated graphics there are constant opportunities to animate fun segment opens, monitor graphics and many other creative elements. You would be regularly asked to pitch concepts and share your ideas about how you could improve segments visually.

Contributions

• Willing to learn new, including internal, programs as needed
• Showcase innovative, conceptual design and strong problem-solving skills
• Working with Senior/Supervising Designers and/or the Creative Director, you must be self-motivated, manage your time effectively, but able to independently carry your projects from design to final production
• Present creative concepts both internally and externally
• A team player with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Build graphics following established show branded templates

Qualifications:

• Strong graphic design skills
• Understanding of Print Production and output from Adobe Creative Cloud
• Brand foundations and design systems knowledge and experience
• Strong animation and compositing skills in After effects
• Understanding of final output for broadcast and digital platforms
• Possess an intermediate level graphic design foundation working with composition, hierarchy, shape, color and an understanding of typography

Education:

• Applicants without a design portfolio will not be considered
• Undergraduate degree or diploma in Graphic Design/Multimedia
