The Social Media Lead will act as the liaison between our products and our customers. You will be the voice, tone and moderator of the brand through content distribution and digital engagement to build brand presence and trust. You will also be responsible for creating, sharing and repurposing content that provides insightful and valuable information that inspires artists to be a part of our community and eventually convert to customers.
You will develop and own the social media strategy and guidelines which includes developing monthly content calendars, creating social media posts and managing our social media communities. Your objectives are to create brand awareness, increase social engagement and drive the growth of our online community. You will be interacting with our communities on a daily basis with a huge emphasis on engagement; getting our customers to share their feedback, experiences and in turn act as a bridge between our customers, product and customer experience teams. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest and TikTok will be your workplace, along with the communities that occupy these spaces.

We’re looking for someone to create, share, and repurpose content that provides insightful and valuable information and inspires brands, agencies and sellers to be a part of our community and eventually convert to customers.
You will develop and own the social strategy and guidelines including develop weekly content calendars, create social media posts, and manage Perpetua social media communities. Your objectives are to deepen engagement and drive the growth of our artist community through new eyeballs and new traffic. To be successful you will need to be a creator at heart, have a keen eye for emerging trends, be passionate about building community, and be entrepreneurial and resourceful.
The ideal candidate is a hard-working team player who will play a critical role in creating original digital content across various social media platforms.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our Marketing team to support and extend key marketing launches and initiatives
- Design and create relevant, creative and engaging social media content aligned with our brand values, voice and strategy
- Liaise with our Customer Experience, Marketing & Product stakeholders to stay updated on new products and features
- Responsible for ongoing engagement across all our channels, providing answers to questions and relaying insights and feedback
- Create posts, schedule, and manage all social platforms (including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok and other applicable social platforms)
- Craft engaging captions for all social media content
- Proactively research, recommend and, execute new social media strategies and tactics
- Contribute to product brainstorms, representing our customers’ feedback
- Identify social media trends to implement on our platforms and within our community program
- Stay up to date with permanent makeup and beauty trends
- Work with the Manager of Social Media & Community to develop and refine our social media strategy with a focus on increasing brand awareness, credibility and audience engagement
- Monitor social media growth and provide weekly reports and analysis to our Manager of Social Media & Community
Qualifications
- Graphic design skills - ability to create and adapt graphics for social media posts
- Is an excellent oral and written communicator; your spelling and grammar are impeccable
- Minimum 2+ years experience executing a social media strategy including content creation, managing a social media brand presence, online community engagement and management with content creators, influencers and high-profile public figures – preferably in the beauty/e-commerce industry
- Strong attention to detail and sense of personal accountability
- Entrepreneurial enthusiasm and grit, always willing to roll up your sleeves
- Video and photo editing skills - proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
- Resourceful problem solver who figures out how to get things done, even if it means navigating through ambiguity
- Creative thinker with a demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into engaging social media content
- Actively follow current and emerging social and content marketing trends
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, their best practices and how to efficiently operate them (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.)
- Highly organized self-starter who can balance multiple priorities and drive results
- Experience with social media management and publishing platforms (GRIN influencer marketing platform and Dash Hudson social media management platform)
- Knows how to work within brand guidelines to produce content in an authentic online voice and inspire an engaged community
