TELUS Partner Solutions (TPS) is the wholesale division of TELUS. We work with Canadian, American and international organizations to enhance their product offering and to engineer a broad range of possibilities for them and their end customers.
TPS is also responsible for managing TELUS bilateral roaming agreements with international carriers, ensuring the best roaming experience for TELUS customers as they travel abroad, as well as ensuring roaming parter customers have the best roaming experience while in Canada.
We are searching for a highly motivated self-starter who is passionate, results-orientated and has a keen sense of curiosity. As a Sr. Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for driving the short to medium term planning for TPS. This includes ad hoc strategic projects, supporting our annual strategy setting cycle with the TPS leadership team and overall program management.
What You Will Do:

• Research (e.g. compilation of industry and competitive trends, best practices of industry) and develop insights to increase thought leadership, better inform strategic decisions and tactical planning.
• Work across business units and industry subject matter experts to help define and create TPS’s 12 to 24 month strategy.
• Support annual strategy reviews in the company/ board advance material: analysis and recommendations for senior leadership meetings and board advances.
• Support subject matter experts in developing business cases & financial models that drive product investments with the greatest impact on our business economics and customers.
• Ownership of the strategy cycle: research 🡪 analysis 🡪 option development 🡪 option analysis 🡪 communication for decision-making.
• Work with senior leadership to develop network and partnership strategies and articulate the impact to business economics and our stakeholders
• Manage the monthly cadence of leadership meetings and team townhall meetings within TPS (content creation, liaising with stakeholders, etc.)

Qualifications
What You bring

• Efficient organization and ability to manage multiple timelines and requirements
• Experience working with highly urgent and highly visible content
• Demonstrable financial analysis skills
• Excellent collaborative skills, with a proven track record of working with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Marketing, Product, and Operations
• Strong sense of determination and grit. Able to deal with ambiguity, lead through influence and drive projects to completion while working with competing priorities
• A high level of proficiency with Google Suite (especially Slides and Docs) and storyboarding; you to are able to deliver content tailored for the variety of audiences and forums you support
• Strong time management, organizational and project management skills
• An understanding of budgeting and financial reporting (budget development & management, ROI modeling, cash flow fundamentals, etc.)
• Ongoing desire to be part of a high performing team focused on planning and business governance
• An understanding of product strategy (product life cycle models, pricing theory, product development methodology, etc.).
• A high degree of emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills and thought leadership, who is known for producing efficient, clean and accurate content
• A natural ability to form strong working relationships and transform complex concepts into simple ones
• Experience working with all levels of the organization – from junior team members to senior executives

Great-to-Haves
Education

• A Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) (considered an asset)
• A Bachelors in Business Administration, Bachelors in Finance, Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• 5+ years of related work experience in financially driven strategic decision making, and/or strategy development
• 5+ years of executive level communications.
