What will I be doing?
Hilton is seeking a Senior Manager, Leisure Wholesale to lead a portfolio of Leisure accounts, which may include Tour Operators, Wholesalers, Destination Management Companies / Receptives and Bedbanks that sell Canadian domestic and international outbound travel. The focus will be on growing FIT transient Leisure business and Leisure group sales from an assigned roster of accounts.
Hilton is growing its engagement in the Canadian leisure market, and we need outstanding sales professionals with a strong desire to lead and expand the Hilton brand.

More Specifically, You Will
  • Serve as a Canada leisure wholesale subject matter specialist supporting HWS to understand buyer conduct and improve Hilton shelf space.
  • Represent Hilton Hotels at industry trade shows, special industry events, roadshows, and other activities to elevate customer awareness of Hilton to drive segment growth.
  • Network with business decision-makers and executives to influence positive buying actions.
  • Develop the leisure wholesale segment in Canada, working with a roster of Hilton Worldwide Sales (HWS) managed global and national accounts.
  • Successfully scope, source, and qualify accounts in compliance with Hilton’s account governance protocol
  • Understand and identify Canada's leisure wholesale industry trends that impact customer buying behaviors and offer creative solutions.
  • Use reports to identify trends on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis for tactical decision-making, and strategic forecasting, to ensure revenue and ancillary goals/targets are achieved
  • Deploy strategic road map by account segment with well-defined key performance indicators including room contracting, marketing, sales/promotional campaigns
  • Ensure the client’s day-to-day needs are met while finding opportunities that lead to efficient operational and financial performance of Leisure accounts
  • Understand and optimize the direct connect dynamic pricing model
  • Build and manage a Canadian strategic plan with clear goals and objectives to drive brand awareness, room night and revenue growth, and increase market share in Canada

  • Have a thorough understanding of the business models of Tour Operators, Wholesalers, Destination Management Companies / Receptives and Bedbanks
  • Experience working independently with minimal direction
  • Complete discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Capability to understand predictive analytics and deliver revenue monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Capacity to balance multiple priorities and effectively handle concurrent demands to prioritize responsibilities
  • Deep knowledge of customer procurement strategies, structure, businesses, and commonalities in alignment with Hilton
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal, written), while employing diplomacy with high-level executives and customers within the organization on a global scale.
  • Strong negotiation skills that can be used to capitalize on value for internal and external partners
  • Critical thinking and both quantitative and qualitative analytics skills
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
  • Seven (7) years of hotel and/or travel industry leisure wholesale sales experience at the regional, national, and/or corporate level
  • Can travel up to 30%; can work overtime as needed
  • Experience maintaining national/global accounts
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and diverse company culture.
It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
  • Speak English and preferably knowledge of spoken French
  • Experience in Canada, USA, Mexico, and the Caribbean
  • Five (5) years of leisure wholesale Travel Industry sales experience
