Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for growing parts sales and market share of the client’s products in an assigned territory to targeted markets. The BDM will build and maintain solid relationships by using consultative sales skills to deliver results.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop an understanding of clients’ business needs and use this knowledge to demonstrate the value
- The business; use knowledge to make effective business decisions
- Of company products and services
- Maintain and create account development business plans
- Pertinent information are recorded daily in Salesforce
- Collect and record best practices to improve results
- Marketing, etc.
- Cultivate and maintain solid relationships with client stakeholders
- Achieve and maintain knowledge and understanding of the client’s variable operations programs,
- Proactively identify issues or trends and prepare recommendations and timely follow up
- Develop relationships with the client field teams to drive results
- Understand the competition and industry to foresee future challenges that require resolution
- Ensure daily activities, market and competitive information, events, results, issues and any other
- Continuously evaluate account’s performance versus expectations
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business and how ADM actions affects
- Drive incremental sales to assigned territories
- Educate current and potential customers on the benefits of using the clients’ products
- Conduct field visits in order to sell customer products (parts sales)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated relationship building and influencing skills
- Ability to build strong partnerships with all internal customers, both locally and in our corporate locations
- Ability to prioritize, organize, problem solve, meet deadlines and goals
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide follow-up
- Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and personal credibility
- Ability to tackle complex issues and develop innovative and practical solutions
- Proficient in cloud-based applications, CRM, and Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Capability of working in a team-oriented environment that is fair, open and honest
- Thorough knowledge of business policies
- Action and detail oriented; able to prioritize while handling multiple tasks
- Excellent written/oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage a territory with limited direction
- Quick and strong decision-making skills
- Motivated by bonus potential to exceed performance goals
Job Requirements:
- Parts department experience is not a must but is a bonus
- Has to be comfortable and proficient using computers
- Business Development experience
- 2+ years’ experience in industry-related field
- A valid driver’s license
- Experience in parts aftermarket
Additional Details:
- You will visit independent repair facilities on behalf of a group of dealers
- New hires accumulate 2 weeks’ vacation in year 1, can also take 6 personal days and 2 celebration days
- The dealers are located in and around the Greater Toronto area.
- Vehicle provided by Mopar, maintenance and insurance are included
- The position includes occasional travel requiring overnight stays
- Reimbursement of fuel expenses and all work related expenses, including up to $100 a month for cell phone usage
- Base salary will be $53,000, bonus potential at 100% is $31,000 a year, paid quarterly
- Position includes a competitive Canadian benefits program that reimburses 80% of Physio, Massage therapy, Chiropractor, Dental
