Job Description
The Business Development Manager, (this role is equivalent to a BDR/SDR) is tasked with identifying and generating sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound calling activities. The right candidate will work well under pressure, thinks out of the box, quickly initiates relaxed but informative two-way phone conversations with prospects, and be highly self-motivated. The right candidate will also understand how to assess a company’s needs and cater the outreach to each opportunity specifically.

Requirements


  • Follow up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects
  • Ensure successful follow-through of the sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in the CRM application
  • Create targeted prospect lists based on Leads.io ICP/buying personas, successful verticals, and penetrating key accounts
  • Diligently update our CRM, to stay current on leads and follow-ups
  • Shadow your Account Executives in meetings and other activities to help you acquire the skills you’ll need for your next role on the Leads.io sales team
  • Be responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to sales teams
  • Contact and qualify potential clients through the following, but not limited to:
  • Attending trade shows and conferences as applicable
  • Nurture new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with an Account Executive
  • Outreach via Sequences, including email, cold calls, social outreach via Linkedin and using video in your prospecting
  • Set appointments for our Leads.io Account Executive team when a lead reaches a qualified stage
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on a strategic sales approach
  • Research your target companies and prepare your Account Executive into a guru ahead of their calls

  • You enjoy working in a proactive, result orientated, and customer-focused environment
  • You love sales and understand the gritty side of it
  • At least 1 year of professional experience
  • You can convey your enthusiasm well to the customer and to your colleagues
  • Curious and eager to learn, grow, and give/receive feedback
  • New business sales experience
  • Excellent phone, writing, and listening skills
  • Experience using CRM software to track Sales activity
