Job Description
Interested in being the founding AE, responsible for driving sales of a completely new business? This new division, called ARMS, operates like a startup within HH Angus, and you'll enjoy the excitement that comes with building a new, SaaS-based technology solution, and the security that comes with working for an organization that has been thriving for over a century.


HH Angus is a long-standing and dynamic Toronto-based engineering firm focused on building innovative solutions for the buildings sector. We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our Toronto office. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and contributing to the overall growth of a completely new business offering called ARMS. You will have the opportunity to both build and execute the sales strategy, working with a lean team to help take the business from zero to one over the next year. We’ll look to you to establish a client list, prospect our existing list of customers, and build out new markets for ARMS to succeed.


Because we are in early days, we’ll ask you to help establish the sales process and tools we’ll use to scale, while also driving opportunities towards close. You won’t be alone - you’ll be working with developers, product managers and others to scale ARMS into an independent, thriving entity. The successful candidate will be rewarded with increasing responsibilities and career growth. In the early stages of growth, you will be required to balance multiple roles in a sometimes ambiguous environment.


Responsibilities Include


  • Develop and execute a sales strategy that meets or exceeds revenue targets, while building strong relationships with existing clients and generating new business opportunities
  • Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with new and existing clients
  • Build out tooling to support your sales effort
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients to showcase the value of our services and products
  • Identify new business prospects and initiate contact with potential clients
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activity, including sales pipeline and revenue forecasting


The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:


  • Experience working with and setting up sales tools and techniques, including CRM systems, sales forecasting, and pipeline management (A strong preference will be shown towards those who are tech savvy)
  • Strong business development skills, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in a consulting or engineering environment
  • The ability to work independently and leverage internal resources to find leads and close deals
