Project Manager – Toronto
Step into the driver's seat of success as a Project Manager! Are you ready to navigate through challenges, steer teams towards victory, and cruise to project excellence? Join our client, prominent Canadian law firm known for its expertise in litigation and providing high-quality legal services to a diverse range of clients. As the Project Manager (PM) will join the Project Management team, led by the Manager, Operations. This role requires a strong technical background and a proven track record of successfully working with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include managing internal projects from concept to completion, while expanding project management practices to other groups.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior management in strategy and internal projects using appropriate methodology.
- Ensure project compliance with the Firm's filing policy.
- Assist in developing change management plans.
- Conduct after-action reviews.
- Facilitate decision-making and approvals.
- Drive communications within the team and with vendors.
- Resolve concerns and conflicts, recommending corrective action when needed.
- Develop and execute project plans, including risk, scope, communication, and schedules.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
- Support other team members as needed.
- Track project progress, budgets, and quality measures.
- Provide project management training and coaching.
Requirements:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate is a plus, and completion of a process improvement certificate (Lean Sigma) is also beneficial.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Results-driven and able to handle a high-volume workload.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Experience in software implementation and a minimum of 5 years' project management experience in a professional services environment.
- Customer service orientation and clear agenda setting
- Post-secondary education in business, technology, or law.
- Ownership, accountability, and excellent planning skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
