Job Description
Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Project Manager, Finance you will provide project leadership to drive execution on finance related items such as process improvement, new entity transition and implementation, payroll systems upgrades, and more. This includes responsibility for the delivery of sustainment services, management and planning of work, resourcing, work prioritization, controlling project scope, and issue resolution for multiple concurrently running projects. The Project Manager, Finance will coordinate the efforts of multi-disciplinary teams to execute high quality and on-time deliverables.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Meet Your Future Team:
The Arc’teryx Finance team supports all parts of the business across, accounting, reporting, planning, analytics, operational finance and procurement. The Finance team collaborates across multiple disciplines to provide strategic and insightful business partnership to enable effective decision-making throughout the organization.
The role will report into the Director, Finance Transformation & Optimization and work with closely with cross-functional partners and other members of the finance team.
If you were the Project Manager, Finance now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
  • Coordinating and communicating effectively with project stakeholders, including business partners, vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Conducting post-project evaluations to measure project success
  • Ensuring project documentation is accurate, complete and up to date
  • Evaluating the outcomes of projects as established during the planning phase, conduct lessons learned sessions or retrospectives
  • Developing and managing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project completion
  • Engaging with agreed internal project tools, and templates while continually improving them; capturing and reporting project information in accordance with guidelines
  • Leading the planning and execution of finance-related projects related to system implementations, process improvements and change management
  • Identifying and managing project risks and developing mitigation strategies
  • Providing regular status updates, progress reports and other relevant project details
  • Collaborating with finance leadership to define project objectives, scope and success criteria and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Establishing project briefs or statements of work in collaboration with project stakeholders and Program Management
  • Driving continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies

  • Leading the implementation of new finance initiatives as part of our longer-term roadmap

  • You have 5 - 7 years of experience as a Project Manager; PMP certification preferred
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You have strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • You have excellent organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
