We make our mark by embracing the diversity of our global team, challenging ourselves, and striving to make a difference for our players.Well, what about the team?This key role within the Interactive division of Bally’s Corporation will be responsible for consolidation and intercompany accounting (supervising a staff of one) as well as technical accounting research and documentation of accounting treatment for complex or non-routine transactions.So, what will you be doing?
  • Training of personnel to ensure competency in role
  • Liaising with reporting entities to ensure a timely and accurate close
  • Working with the Finance, Operations and Commercial Teams to understand all the different drivers and variances in the sub-consolidation process
  • Researching unique or complex transactions contemplated and/or entered into by the Company to determine appropriate accounting treatment
  • Providing full financial and analytical support to the Senior Finance Leaders and Finance Functions with respect to Consolidation.
  • Establishing and maintain good working relationships with Business Partners as well as Senior Finance Leaders and Finance Functions
  • Developing and owning the Company’s multi-currency consolidation process
  • Leading the Company’s accounting procedures under ASC 805
  • Setting of Objectives in line with overall Finance objectives and role specifics
  • Leading role in system improvement initiatives
  • Preparing annual and interim goodwill and long-lived asset impairment assessments
  • Preparing accounting analysis and memorandums to support accounting positions taken by the Company
  • Supporting the wider team’s delivery requirements including ad hoc project work required
  • Evaluating accounting treatment of complex/non-routine transactions
  • Preparing, review, triage of consolidation schedules as required
  • Serving as a key contact for external auditors as well as executive leadership on the accounting for complex and non-routine transactions
  • Opening balance sheet and valuation procedures of acquired companies, working with external valuation experts and other advisors as appropriate
  • Serving as the main technical contact for the annual external audit and quarterly reviews
  • Recruiting and managing direct reports to ensure that they are delivering in line with requirements
  • Supporting the Senior Finance Leaders and Finance Functions on standardizing and improving the Consolidation/Reporting and Governance environment and Manage ad hoc projects as required
  • Developing and implement best practice processes and systems across the group
  • Managing the Consolidation & Reporting stream and ensure that the stream is providing deliverables that are succinct, accurate, and timely
  • Supervising staff to ensure timely and accurate posting of all eliminations and necessary consolidation adjustments and ensure that intercompany mismatches are within agreed limits
And what are we looking for?
  • Experience of operating at manager level
  • Flexible in an ever-changing work environment
  • Experience in Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting required
  • Excellent team player who is willing to work flexibility to assist fellow team members during busy periods
  • Maintain high performance in teams
  • Experience with ERP’s such as Power BI, SAP and Microsoft Dynamics AX, Ideally of Navision (and ability to learn new systems swiftly).
  • Good written and verbal English language skills essential
  • Experience in Foreign Currency accounting, business combinations (ASC 805), revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), and Equity method investments (ASC 323)
  • Experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm and/or a public company environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related, accredited field required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work flexibly with teams from different departments and locations
  • CPA (or international equivalent) required
  • Possess strong consolidation and reporting skills, together with a strong accounting/control background
