Accounting Manager/ Senior Accountant

Our client is a retail and manufacturing company of premium leather furniture to the North American Market. Located in the Delta/Tilbury area the Company is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting functions. You'll be proficient with Quickbooks, strong Excel and have experience in the manufacturing/retail market. Requirements

Requirements:

• Prepare full set of accounts and chart of accounts
• Comfortable with GAAP and internal control/process improvements
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings
• Costing, budgeting and financial analysis
• Leading a team of accounting professionals
• Enter transactions and reconcile account balances
• Prepare working papers, schedules, and reconciliations for external review purposes
• GST/HST, Payroll and T4 processing

Qualifications

• Proficient with QuickBooks and inventory systems
• Minimum 3-4 years of accounting experience
• Ongoing or near completion of CPA program
• Previous experience in manufacturing industry can be an asset
• 2-3 years of supervisory experience
• Bachelor degree in accounting or related field
• Independent and problem-solver
