The Sr. Manager of Order Operations will be responsible for streamlining order to deliver operations for the Canada region. The role will oversee day-to-day operations and plan and execute transformative solutions on a tactical level to enhance the effectiveness of the order-to-deliver cycle with the goal of enhancing service levels to customers and meeting/exceeding on time- in full (OTIF) goals. The role will also lead field inventory management and operational customer solutions. This position will provide leadership and direction on a cross-functional basis and interact directly with senior leadership, commercial teams, support functions and enablers.
This is a hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to accurately understand and communicate customer needs and issues
- Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)
- Performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.
- Manages field inventory including consignment, trunk stock and loaners with the goal of maximizing product availability while balancing working capital and minimizing expired products in the field.
- Works with customers on end-to-end process improvement to add value to the overall customer experience.
- Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
- Demonstrate elevated level of ownership and accountability
- Function as the Customer Care & Order Operations main point of contact for commercial stakeholders on Operational/Tactical level
- Plans and analyzes activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.
- Represents Customer Care & Order Operations in local initiatives/projects: IT/Automation initiatives, OTC, OTIF
- Provides support to the company's Strategic Account customers in collaboration with other internal stakeholders (such as: Sales, Transport & Logistics, etc.), through face-to-face interactions, but also via telephone and other written communications.
- Collaborates with team members and internal stakeholders to drive efficiencies, prioritize customer opportunities and issues, and support specialized projects.
- Analyze complex data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks to drive proactive, meaningful engagement with the customer
- Creates integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers.
- Acts as the voice of the customer internally by championing their needs for an enhanced service experience
- Provides analytics, advice, and project support for all aspects of customer-related operational processes
Key Qualifications
- Prior experience in with companies in the medical industry or similar regulated industry
- Must have excellent organizational and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or related field or Advanced degree
- Anticipate and meet deadlines
- Must be a problem solver with confidence and speed in execution
- Pay attention to detail
- Ability to:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience with bachelor’s degree or Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience with advanced degree
- Must be customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Be discreet and retain confidential information
- Proven leadership skills in building and managing large teams with a history of world-class success
- Proficient in English verbal and written. French is recommended but not required
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently
