Dermalogica is seeking a PR Coordinator
Dermalogica is looking for a passionate, resourceful and creative PR Coordinator to join our Canadian Marketing team.This individual is responsible for supporting all PR and influencer marketing strategies, events and activations across our B2C and B2B channels.
This position reports into the PR and Events Manager but is cross-functional, collaborating with the Marketing, Education, Sales and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
PUBLIC RELATIONS AND INFLUENCER MARKETING:
- Manage corporate communications calendar for LinkedIn
- Assist with managing timelines, mailer lists and execution of mailers for various product launches and ongoing programs
- Support PR team as directed by carrying out administrative tasks and assignments in a timely manner
- Support the Canadian trade Make-up Artist program and Professional Skin Therapist seeding programs
- Spearheads brand purpose and value initiatives
- Manage product send-outs for influencer and media partners as well as support with large-scale seeding programs
- Lead the product ordering for influencers and media partners
- Support PR Manager and agency team with daily PR functions: New product launches, events, press functions, product requests, social media initiatives, etc.
- Support public relations strategy to enhance brand image, awareness and desire, ultimately driving conversion to sales through digital content
- Keep on top of the latest digital social innovations, trends, launches and up-and-coming influencers
- Identify, and create meaningful relationships with a broad spectrum of media and influencers across traditional and social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Assist with the tracking and scheduling of media and influencer treatments in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal locations as required
- Lead the monitoring of influencer content including conducting Tribe Dynamic checks and campaign set-up
EVENTS AND ACTIVATIONS:
- B2B: Trade shows, innovation events, etc.
- Source and manage external support as needed (catering, photography, DJ’s, etc.)
- Support withtimely and detailed post-mortems highlighting successes, learnings and opportunities to leverage for future activations
- Collect, process and contribute to event summaries and photos
- Responsible for securing quotes and working alongside the PR and Events Manager to ensure all programs are operating within budget
- Responsible for event support across professional and consumer channels:
- B2C: Flagships, Sephora, masterclasses, sponsorships, live shopping, etc.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Possess a “can do” attitude
- Previous experience with influencer management software including Grin and Tribe
- Creative outlook, passion and enthusiasm for events and influencer relations
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills; French bilingual a plus but not essential
- Experience working with Canadian beauty/lifestyle influencers on earned and paid programs
- Demonstrate a strong team mentality and ability to work well with others
- Knowledge of the professional beauty industry and B2B/B2C model is an asset
- A strategic thinker with a strong business acumen
- Existing knowledge of the Canadian media landscape
- BA degree or post-secondary education in PR, Communications and/or Events
- 1-3+ years of working experience as a PR and Events Coordinator in consumer packaged goods industry, preferably for a professional beauty/skin brand
- Self-motivated personality that embraces change, challenge and organization
- Above average proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Live in the GTA
- Comfortable working with numbers and analyzing ROI
Working conditions:Additional hours working evenings and weekends as business needs dictate. Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
