Our Newfoundland and Labrador Operations are an integrated mining, milling, and processing operation. Nickel concentrate from the fly-in, fly-out Voisey’s Bay operation is shipped to our state-of-art Long Harbour Processing Plant where it is refined into low-carbon and high-purity nickel rounds, cobalt rounds and copper cathodes.


The Opportunity


We are currently seeking a Travel Coordinator to join our Site Services department in Voisey’s Bay. This is a permanent position, with a Monday to Friday schedule working from a home office.


The Travel Coordinator will ensure that all travel (charter and commercial) and accommodations are taken care of daily and will update and ensure adherence to policies and procedures in Travel for a remote site, while looking for efficiencies and improvements. The successful incumbent will book approved travelers to go to site when medical or questionnaires are complete. Review all travel related invoices for commercial tickets, hotel bookings, taxis, and meals to ensure compliance. Furthermore, communications for all travel related issues (weather delays, schedule and route changes, maintenance delays) will be sent out daily, and the incumbent will ensure the camp and Impacts and Benefits Agreement reports are accurate. Daily, weekly and monthly reports will also be prepared and communicated to employees. In this role, you will:


  • Manage fixed wing air craft contract ensuring accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement;
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports capturing all travel related data;
  • Booking camp and or hotel accommodations and ground transportation;
  • Maintaining Travel Logs for reimbursable flights to ensure invoicing opportunities.
  • Develop and manage travel policies;
  • Develop and issue daily travel manifest to support remote mine site;
  • Update all travel requests, daily change requests, confirm medical clearance prior to booking flights;


About You


Education:


  • Post-secondary diploma in Office or Business Administration necessary.


Experience:


  • A minimum of 3 years’ related experience.


Skills:


  • Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to make timely decisions inline with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
