about this team
The Global Public Relations Manager is responsible for supporting the strategic PR efforts of lululemon, overseeing facets of consumer-facing outreach for brand, product, and community. With a focus on creating and executing our strategic public relations plans in support of lululemon’s Global Sports Marketing and Partnerships programs, including Ambassadors, Team Canada and ongoing brand partnerships, your main responsibilities include developing and managing all aspects of public relations strategies, including consumer media outreach and asset development. You will work closely with your counterparts in global regions, as well as cross-functional partners, and colleagues in Internal Communications and Corporate Communications. You will be a part of a dynamic and growing Global Communications team comprised of talented experts around the globe.
a day in the life: what you’ll do
* Support the growth of lululemon’s Ambassador collective & Team Canada partnership, by developing and executing integrated brand, community, and product public relations strategies.
* Support the growth of lululemon’s brand awareness globally, by developing and executing public relations strategies for brand collaborations with designers, brands, athletes, and artists.
* Develop Ambassador media training and messaging guidelines to support the needs of the global organization.
* Act as a key resource for channel partners, ensuring integration with brand strategies, overseeing project planning and tactical execution.
* Create compelling messaging and use your strong media relations skills to coach company spokespersons.
* Build authentic relationships with media and industry influencers that result in authentic earned editorial.
* Partner with PR counterparts in global regions to bring strategies to life around the world.
* Manage day-to-day media relations and support the public relations team, who are the primary contacts for all global media.
* Lead press asset development including press materials, bios, backgrounders, fact sheets and in-depth media list development.
* Act as a key contact for agency relationships ensuring integration with the brand, setting strategy, overseeing project planning and execution are tactically executed.
* Act as a key player on a talented team of PR and communications experts who are passionate about extending lululemon’s long-term brand equity and trust with media.
qualifications
* 5-7 years of dynamic experience in public relations and experience working for a global organization.
* Ideally have experience working in support of global Sports Marketing organizations, professional athletes, or Olympics partnerships.
* Existing sports & lifestyle media relationships and a strong understanding of the digital media landscape.
* Experienced in building and executing successful PR strategies.
* Experience managing agency relationships.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and strong presentation skills.
* Strong writer.

* Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
* Several years’ experience in marketing/advertising/e-business required.
