We are building the next generation cameras that are cloud connected. Your job will be to design and scale a cloud based platform that automatically connects with cameras to enhance their capabilities with state of the art machine learning. We are providing safety and security solutions to some of the biggest enterprises in the world.

Our cloud-based platform connects seamlessly with all cameras regardless of their brand or model and processes a wide range of analytics in real-time. You will be part of a small growing team who will focus on achieving robust and scalable architecture in order to enable millions of alarms to be processed on our platform. You will be developing features that enable customers to get more insight and intelligence from their cameras. Everything that you do will need to scale as it will serve hundreds of thousands of cameras all around the world. Being able to make accurate estimates and deliver them is crucial in order to manage expectations from internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the building frontend and backend
• Building highly scalable systems with a lot of traffic
• Designing efficient architecture to respond to customer requirements
• Solve difficult issues, including performance or concurrency issues, and propose solutions
• Guide product decisions and the team roadmap with an engineering perspective

Required Skills:

• Scaled web-based applications and APIs
• Advanced knowledge in node.js.
• Experienced designing RESTFUL APIs
• Good understanding of the different networking protocols.
• Relevant experience with Vue.js or equivalent single-page application libraries (React.js)
• 8+ years of work experience as a software engineer.
• Demonstrate some strong team player skills.

• Excitement about building, operating, and maintaining resilient, scalable systems.
• Excitement about architecting scalable systems that impact a global community of users.
• Drive for observability to understand performance and be able to diagnose problems.
• Comfortable with cloud computing and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.).
• The team is highly distributed across geographies and time zones, and you will thrive in an environment of remote work and asynchronous communication.

Note: Candidate must reside in Canada.

• Bachelors Degree with 8+ years of software engineering/developer experience and 3+ year cloud application experience
