Job description:
Name of the position: Senior Software Engineer (Python & Framework)
Purpose of the job
As Software Engineer, you will work on one of the world's largest social media platform which deals in
petabytes of data coming to the system daily. You will give as part of R&D self-organized team working in
a complicated, innovative environment for our client.
Investigate, build, and implement the solutions for many technical challenges using groundbreaking technologies,
including building/improving data processing platform enabling work of software used by hundreds of millions
of users.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Acquires tasks from the project lead or Team Lead (TL), prepares functional and design specifications,

Approves them with all partners.

• Ensures that assigned area/areas are delivered within set timelines and required quality objectives.
• Provides estimations, agrees task duration with the manager and gives to project plan of assigned

area.

• Collaborates with other teams.
• Constantly improves their professional level.
• Initiates and conducts code reviews, builds code standards, conventions, and guidelines.
• Solving and optimizing data systems.
• Evaluating existing data systems.
• Responsible for resolving crisis situations within their AOR.
• Reports about area readiness/quality, and raise red flags in crisis situations.
• Developing standard processes for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
• Design pipelines that produce business critical data effectively and efficiently using cloud technology.
• Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
• Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
• Suggests technical and functional improvements to make valuable contributions to the product;
• Addresses area-level risks, provides and implements mitigation plan.
• Understand the business drivers and analytical use-cases and translate these to data products

Required education and experience:
Must have:

• University degree in Computer Related Sciences or similar
• Over 5+ years of Python, CPython, PyPy experience with frameworks Flask/FastAPI/Falcon
• Difficulty in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering standard processes
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning and scaling high efficiency.

Critical Ask:

• Contributions to Python frameworks or interpreters like Flask, FastAPI, Falcon, Sanic.
• Excellent project management skills
• Background in scaling high-throughput, low-latency HTTP services
• Deep understanding of Python, CPython, PyPy.
• Experience with AWS EC2, Docker, and Jenkins
