Payroll Coordinator Jobs

RothLochston is currently recruiting for a Payroll Coordinator, which will be a permanent role located at our Head Office in Paradise, NL. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and reconcile daily timesheet data for all employees.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of multiple unionized payrolls on a weekly basis.
• Process new hires and terminations.
• Maintain employee files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
• Prepare and file records of employment and assist in the preparation of T4s at year end.
• Process and remit employee deductions including union dues, benefit deductions, statutory and regulatory withholdings and other miscellaneous deductions as required.
• Analyze and calculate payroll adjustments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Completion of a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation from the National Payroll Institute or currently enrolled in the program, is desired, along with other relevant post-secondary education.
• Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, combined with experience working with an ERP system (JD Edwards or similar) will be considered an asset.
• The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years payroll experience, ideally within a unionized environment for 100+ employees.
