Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, this team player will be responsible for a variety of payroll duties in supporting the payroll department as well as the primary tester for all payroll related Workday testing.

Supporting payroll department

• Monitor payroll inbox/change gear for escalations from HR Express team
• Provide support to Payroll Coordinators for payroll inquiries/issues
• Complete all of the data entry required and filing for the department
• Maintenance of employee records
• Provide assistance with internal and external audit requests

Workday testing role

• Primary tester for Workday configuration testing
• Coordinate with Workday sustainment team to investigate configuration issues
• Identify errors and passes in testing and document through test scripts
• Develop test scrips for testing payroll scenarios
• Project work for new implementations
• Provide test results to Payroll Manager for approval

Education And Experience

• Proficient in payroll processing within Workday
• PCP Certified with Canadian Payroll Association
• 2 – 5 years of payroll experience in a multi-provincial union environment
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations
