Temporary Full-Time Quality Reviewer

The overall duty of this position is to ensure that the end product meets the requirements of client specifications and public safety acts and regulations. The Temporary Quality Reviewer supports the Reliability group with the management of requests, inspection reports and the coalition of data for future retrieval and required submissions.

This position is on a temporary full-time basis. Due to the nature of this position there will be on-call and overtime requirements.

• Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.
• Responsible for maintaining document management systems.
• Reviews the implementation and efficiency of Quality and inspection systems.
• Consults with Supervisors or the necessary individuals involved with the issues and product imperfections inspections to advise when corrections have been made.
• Evaluates adequacy of Quality Assurance standards.
• Adheres to organizational policies and procedures, including but not limited to Applus Code of Ethics and Confidentiality Agreements.
• Coordinates and supports on-site audits conducted by external providers.
• Collects and compiles statistical Quality data.
• Analyzes data to identify areas for improvement in the Quality Management System.
• Documents internal audits and other Quality Assurance activities.
• Organizes and documents the correct storing and adjustments of all Quality Control equipment and materials.
• Prepares reports to communicate outcomes of Quality activities.
• Complies with the Quality standard set by Applus and its clients.
• Evaluates audit findings and implements appropriate corrective actions.
• Interprets and implements Quality Assurance standards and procedures.
• Identifies training needs and organize training interventions to meet Quality standards.
• Drafts Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
• Develops sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting Quality data.
• Develops, recommends and monitors corrective and preventive actions.

• Valid G Class Driver’s License is required.
• Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma certifications are a strong asset.
• Previous experience in Quality inspection, auditing and testing.
• Certified Level 1 Welding Inspector from the Canadian Welding Bureau.
• 1-2 years’ experience as a QC Inspector or NDT Technician.
• High School Diploma or Canadian General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• Experience with implementation of corrective action programs is required.
• Product or industry-specific experience is required.
