Job Description

Daily Responsibility:

Responsibilities include:

  • Support regular and ad-hoc reporting and analytics
  • Identify, track and resolve business systems issues - investigation, impact and root cause analysis - while seeking to add preventative measures for identified issues going forward.
  • Maintain accurate payee hierarchy and employee profile information
  • Proactively identify areas of risk and implement appropriate quality controls and Business Continuity Management practices
  • Answering employee questions and troubleshooting issues related to payroll.
  • Provide project and initiative execution support to various business partners to deliver key strategic and transformational objectives
  • Recording changes affecting net wages, such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments, for each employee.
  • Streamline and standardize processes and ensure continuous improvement in accordance with the simpler, faster, better model across VCSS
  • Update and maintain VCSS job-aids, policies, processes and procedures
  • Provide quality assurance and controls for compensation payments submitted to HR Payroll processing
  • Support and/or lead user acceptance testing and implementation of variable compensation applications
  • Deliver operational support for the VCSS functional teams to ensure accurate and timely administration of compensation and reporting
  • Monitoring the balance of payroll runs and any changes in legal requirements including minimum wage, the local tax rate, and related federal and state regulations.
  • Inputting payroll data from time sheets, production records, or individual attendance records into a computerized payroll system.
  • Prioritize tasks based on need and impact, and collaborate with peers to ensure requirements and SLAs are met during busy periods

Must have skills:

  • Experience with escalation protocols as well as issue resolution
  • Experience applying quality assurance and risk assessment practices

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access
