Our Human Resources Division is seeking a collaborative & innovative leader to join our team and provide human resources leadership and strategic consultation to department leadership teams. Employing your extensive Human Resource knowledge & experience, you will proactively develop, facilitate and implement human resources strategies that support business outcomes. This position will also support the HR centres of expertise in the roll out of significant human resources initiatives that impact the organization. You will apply systems level thinking and use your insights of the organization or department to enhance the Region's reputation as an employer of choice, reduce risk, identify solutions, and ensure alignment between human resources objectives and business outcomes.

Leadership As a member of the Human Resources leadership team, you will collaborate and partner with HR centers of expertise to drive change within the organization. You will also lead, coach and performance manage a team of seasoned Human Resource Consultants who provide human resources solutions to an assigned client department.


Strategic Thinking & Continuous Improvement


  • Works with senior leaders to strategize and develop goals and initiatives while supporting HR initiatives
  • Responsible for developing a strategic, integrated and holistic approach to plan, develop and deliver effective human resources solutions for the client department(s)
  • Responsible for identifying continuous improvement opportunities and implementing measurable actions as appropriate
  • Responsible for working with the Human Resources Divisional Leadership Team to develop and implement measurable strategies and actions that will achieve the division's strategic objectives and outcomes
  • Provides strategic advice to the client group with a focus on leadership and cultural change, employee engagement, organizational design and talent management
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to develop human resources strategies that enable effective change management plans and tactics
  • Builds collaborative relationships with the departmental leadership team to deliver on key priorities

  • Acts as steward for Region's reputation as an employer of choice
  • Keeps apprised of human resources best practices and emerging trends and identifies opportunities for innovation
  • Responsible for procuring and managing external vendor contracts as required
  • Responsible for managing operational budgets


What Do We Require…


  • Strong background in workforce planning, organizational design, employee / labour relations and workforce analytics
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
  • Sound knowledge of effective human resources practices
  • At least eight years progressively responsible experience in human resources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including developing & delivering presentations and writing reports
  • Proven experience in leading a team of human resources professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and manage transformational change
  • Demonstrated ability to complete long- and short-term strategic planning and resource management
  • Strong operations management skills with the ability to collaborate with all levels of management to provide strategic and innovative solutions to address complex human resources issues
  • Proven change leader


Nice To Have But Not Required…


  • Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and change management certification is an asset

In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga ON worksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.


Hours of Work 35 hours per week
