Teledyne Digital Imaging is a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Inc., a U.S. publicly listed enterprise, and specializes in the manufacture, design, research and development of high performance image sensors and modular expandable cameras. Teledyne Digital Imaging's products are used worldwide in machine vision, document scanning, image capture, surveillance, process monitoring, manufacturing inspection, medical imaging, and multi media. As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, Teledyne Digital Imaging is recruiting for a Human Resources Manager in Waterloo


The HR manager provides strategic HR Business Partner support to the Waterloo Management teams to drive the people agenda at the Waterloo site and leads the Waterloo site HR team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee and manage a performance management and managing talent as well as succession planning processes that drives high performance.
  • Work with leaders and managers to identify HR needs and develop strategic plan to align resources.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources. requirements; updating policies; conducting investigations; maintaining records.
  • Provide strategic HR business partner support and coaching to local management team.
  • Provide leadership to the HR team.
  • Manage employee relations, performance improvement plans, investigations, and sensitive employee matters
  • Develop and establish trusted relationships with stakeholders.
  • Provide pro-active and relevant communication and buy in from key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Country HR leader to ensure alignment with country-wide initiatives and policy orientations.
  • Responsible for delivering all HR calendar driven activities for the site.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Support in attaining Revenue targets by maintaining oversight of compensation, structure, salary adjustment and internal budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive outcomes and ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Guide leaders through change management initiatives to deliver and meet business needs.
  • Provide site level reporting and metrics.
  • Continuously improve existing HR systems and processes.


Skills And Qualifications


  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Ontario labor laws
  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment laws, compensation, organization development, employee relations, health and safety, performance management, and training and development
  • Knowledge of HRIS Workday is an asset
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources experience
  • Expertise in managing complex employee cases.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • CHRP designation preferred
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office 365
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
  • Natural team player who is able to work across a multi groups and levels
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the management team meetings
